AIDS

What is AIDS ?

AIDS is a STI  (sexually transmission infection). A person isn't directly infected by AIDS. She is first in touch with the virus of HIV that will weaken the immune system. This is just when the body will be too weak to defend himself and that the person develops " opportunities diseases " that take advantage of weakness of the immune system. At this stage, the person is said to be suffering from AIDS. It is transmitted either from the mother to the child or during a sexual intercours without condoms or infected needle or blood infection.

AIDS appeared in 1980 in America in the homosexual community and it will develop in the heterosexual community. AIDS is unfortunately a lethal disease which affects more and more people.

Exists à service to treat the disease but the access is not too easy. Indeed, on the one hand the treatment doesn't exists everywhere, on the other hand, people living with AIDS or HIV are victims of stigmatisation. First because these people are directly assigned to drug addicts, sex worker or homosexual. So, the access is really hard.

I think we are all concerned by AIDS or HIV. Not just if we are infected but if à membre of ourfamily or à friend is touch, we have to be here for him. We have to know what is exactly AIDS to don't be like these person who stigmate person living with HIV or AIDS.
